Samvahan Balancing Treatment Samvahan is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘even the dead can be awakened.’ It is a 3000 year old Ayurvedic method of balancing the natural healing rhythms of your body. Samvahan was revitalized in the 1930’s by Dr. Ram Bhosle, the personal healer for Mahatma Ghandi and Winston Churchill, among others. Samvahan is a gentle massage-like treatment that physically amplifies the internal vibrations that drive your health. It is soothing, musical, and meditative. As a Samvahan practitioner, I have been trained to “tune” your body by reading and working with these subtle vibrations, sensing a state of harmony or imbalance in the nerves, muscles, organs, glands or other tissues and creating a gentle, yet tactically noticeable counter-vibration. This healing vibration travels through your body to the point of “stuckness” or illness and corrects the inharmonious vibration. In effect, I create a tuning note to which your body can adjust to it’s own, natural vibration, just as the musician’s in an orchestra tune to the piano’s clear pitch. The more you’re “in harmony”, the more healthy you will be. Massaging, tuning forks, sound table, music, voice toning, golden bowls and other tools may be used during session.
